Rob Attar

Rob is the editor of <em>BBC History Magazine</em> and also works across the <em>HistoryExtra</em> podcast and website, as well as hosting several <em>BBC History Magazine</em> live events. He began working on <em>BBC History Magazine</em> in 2004 and held a number of positions on the title before being appointed editor in 2012. Prior to his media career, he studied history at the University of Bristol and then magazine journalism at the University of Cardiff. In 2015 he was named an Editor of the Year by the British Society of Magazine Editors at their annual awards. He has a broad range of historical interests, but is particularly fascinated by the global history of the 20th century.
