Matt Elton is BBC History Magazine’s Deputy Editor. He has worked at the magazine since 2012 and has more than a decade’s experience working across a range of history brands. As well as writing and editing a number of sections in the print magazine, Matt also contributes to the HistoryExtra podcast and is curating the brand’s autumn virtual events programme. He’s particularly passionate about exploring and expanding diversity in history, in all of its forms, as well as the connections between history and current affairs. Other interests include global, cultural and 20th-century history.
