Charlotte Hodgman

I’m Charlotte, and I oversee the production process behind HistoryExtra’s YouTube channel. I manage video workflows from planning and shoots through to editing and final delivery, working with our team of presenters and historians to create engaging visual storytelling that's authoritative, accessible, and creative. I also make occasional appearances as a host on the HistoryExtra podcast, and work closely on the HistoryExtra Academy. Before moving into video, I held senior editorial roles across our former print titles – previously editor of BBC History Revealed and deputy editor of BBC History Magazine (though not at the same time!). Since completing my degree in Renaissance and Modern history at the University of Warwick, I've worked in editorial roles for over a decade.
